I'm scared of spiders, although I think that having lived in Australia, I'm scared for a good reason, it's not irrational  :-\
Having said that, the ones that scare me most aren't even poisonous, just big and ugly.  :P

Glad to see it's not just me then  :D

I like frogs, although my cats like to play with them, cos frogs eat slugs.

I too can't stand wasps or daddy long legs, I will run like mad if I see one!!

Been braving the spiders in the greenhouse again today, but only saw a small one.

But you just never know what might what might be lurking under that flower pot or seedtray ;D

Maybe someone can tell me what a single wasp was upto on my plot in October last year. My shed is concrete to about 2 mtrs to the top of the door, then it's wood panelling to the roof. The panelling is double thickness with a sort of fluted (very tiny) space between layers above the door. This wasp went into all those little spaces ...it just about fitted in...stayed a few seconds, came out, sealed the entrance with yellowish goo and went to the next one. I'm hoping this wasp didn't deposit eggs in there. I thought they were social creatures and lived in angry packs! I'm too curious to upset it's work. I want to see what's going to happen. No change so far. Back to the plot on Saturday. (Don't wait for me, I may be some time.)

Ah, Ken, sounds like queeny wasp laying eggs for nxt year.  All sociable wasps die off at the end of the year, and it's the queen wasps job to get it all going again the next year, although I thought queeny wasps went to sleep with their eggs -maybe she's hedging her bets?

Probably a good idea to get rid of the stuff now....ewwww, wasps are EVIL >:(
Peas xx
