I went down to my allotment at about half 10 this morning, to have a bit of a dig and get some seeds in before going into town to meet my mate for the afternoon. It's now 6pm, and I only got back to the house a half hour ago. Aargh! Needless to say, my mate is not very happy with me :-\, and probably won't talk to me for a few days :(. Funny how you can just lose track of time. Until I got in and looked at the clock I would have sworn blind it was about 1. Got loads done, though :)

Just shows what a great pass time and hobby you have entered into, and how much enjoyment you are getting out of it.

You sho' ain't the first gal, you sho' won't be the last ... and sho' your mate will forgive you soon ;) ;D

Poor you (and her, but I daresay she'll get over it)!  :)

But what a great day you must have had.  Do you think you deserve a good soak in the bath, to try and forestall any aching muscles?  ;)

Perhaps invite your friend down to the lottie, so they can understand the compulsion?

Happened to my OH too. He said he was just going up to drop some tomato plants off for the lottie greenhouse, not to do anything, just in and out.  It was two hours later he came back, because he couldn't help doing a bit of digging he said.  ;D busy_lizzie

It's easily done, I have to set my alarm on mobile phone so that I don't forget to collect children after school, 3pm comes soooooo quickly when I'm busy on the plot :D

Humans have been trying to find the secret of time travel for centuries...we have it right here on the plot...time stands still!!!

That is, unless you are desperate to get your seedlings in

Same here we went up 'for a couple of hours' this morning and ended up doing 5 hours  ;D Its just so peaceful up there and i dont have a watch so time slips by but its soooooo enjoyable :)

bananagirl

She'll forgive me eventually, and make me make start taking a watch down there...still, when my veg comes in, she'll get some offloaded. I am definitely going with the bath idea. I'm absolutely bone tired, but in that really good 'done something to deserve it' way. Justifies me spending the evening veging out with a glass or 3 of wine. ;)
