Allotments 4 All

I was mostly moving beds, have just found out from the dear council that my back beds are illegal and they are reclaiming the land, it was a misunderstanding a couple of years ago that they are finally putting into force, but the neighbours will be quiet cos they need to expand the cemetary :o!! The 5 beds I am losing are behind the trellis up the hill!



Soooooooooooooo  I will not let all that lovely manured, soil go to waste, so have raised some of the raised beds a plank, with the wood from the back bed, and am in the process of trolling barrowloads of soil from the back to the front!





But on the plus side they are removing the trees you can see, moving the communial compost heap behind, and I will be getting a bit of that land to expand sideways, just wished they had sorted it all out over the winter, and not at growing time! >:(

Looks like you've got your work cut out Doris!  :) Aren't councils wonderful?  ::)

Hard luck DP! I do hope the tree area makes up for some of the land lost.  A big upheaval for you though and a lot of work,  - what a time to pick too.  >:( busy_lizzie

funny you should mention this.

at the side of our lottie site theres a thin strip of land, after many discussions between the neighbours the lottie site officials and the council, thye eem to think its there, o no, its not they have just changed their minds...it is theres now...o no it isnt...yup it is.

all cos theres a big tree on there that we want rid of and the council cant decide if they want responasibilty of the land or not!!
