In my plastic mini greenhouse there growing nicely were my onion's from seed. The wind came up and blew it over for the first time and my onions were all over the place. My husband is sitting now in the living room (yes living room not were I would go) and putting them back in compost. Do you think they will survive?

They'll be fine!

Are they too small to plant straight out?

Similar thing happened to me with shallots couple of weeks back.  I had about 30 planted into pots to give them a start while waiting for this gosh-darned awful wet and cold weather to settle so I could plant them in the allotment.  (I need to plant something soon, this is my first go at allotmenting, and I want to start planting  :D )

Plastic greenhouse went walkabout - not far, but far enough.  Compost and shallots all over the lawn.  We repotted them, and I doubt they came to any harm.
Tread softly, for you tread on my greens.

This is my first year at an allotment too. My onion sets I planted too deep last year as I was in a hurry and had to plant something. Lets hope I get something from these onions. Husband now had back ache re planting 120 onions haha

I had the same disaster too. My mini greenyhouse was blown over.
There I had lots of seedlings including toms, cucumbers, onions.
I lost most seedlings unfortunately.  :'(

My little plastic greenhouse has been blowing about the last few days and it's on a nice sheltered balcony. Luckily there was nothing in it but there will be soon so I think I'll make sure it's well weighted down.
