Allotments 4 All

I can not understand why there was no money for the NHS in yesterdays budget but 34 million pounds were given so athletes can train up for the Olympics.  Would have thought that there was a lot better things to do with that money, plus the fact am I not right in thinking that the athletes already get lottery funding for there sport.

It's because, apparently, a successfull olympic games is based on the number of medals the host nation wins.  The olympic committe (ie: the government) are aiming for 4th place on the medal league tables.

Time to get the steriods out for our lot and the laxatives for the enemy other competitors.

Richard why do footballers earn millions?

Because there are so many punters out there worshipping them, there's big money to be made. I do think things get way out of proportion at times. The budget's good for schools though, so I'm not complaining too much.
