has anyone bought one of these decking kits? If so, can you give us any advice on how to put it up? we got it delivered today and so far we've done the frames (2 of) and now we're not sure which way round they go for the handrails as the squares are 8ft x 8ft 2". If you've done this you probably know why we are asking advice! the boards run one way, the way they run seems to detrmine which sides u can put the handrails on. help please before we spend ages doing it wrong!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ::)

it looks enormous doesn't it, hopefully once the grape vines is over it and its got all the rasied beds round it and stuff it might blend in more!!!!! ::) hopefully

That looks really good, littlegem.  You must have worked very hard to do all that.  I am really envious of your big greenhouse too. busy_lizzie

wow littlegem, you must be over the moon! Looks like lots of hard work but just imagine how lovely it's going to be when the grapes drop into your mouth :P Love these pictures, look forward to seeing more ;)

littlegem

thanks, i just need a few tips on how to prune the grape vine. when we moved in there was a vine house, just about where decking is, with a mature vine in it. we've got rid of vine house but not vine (can you see it just in front of GH) the main stem is about 5" thick and its got lots of newer bits coming from bottom and other places along main bit. do i keep the main bit or prune that down and just keep the newer bits?

It will only look large until the planting softens it - I think you've got the size right for your plot.  If it was any smaller, it wouldn't be practical to use & you'd end up sat in it wishing you'd got the next size up.  Reminds me of the Krypton factor though.
is it in the sale?

That's a wonderful job well done.  Best of luck with you enjoying lots of sunshine this summer... I did a diy deck job early last year, what you've done is a lot of work. It looks great.

Really classy, Little Gem.  Looks very good!  I can just imagine you and your OH sitting there with your glass of wine on the long balmy summer evenings - Enjoy!  :D busy_lizzie
