I have always had this  dear little snippet of a thing rooting through my flower pots.   ;D

What can I put out for her as a treat?  Would love to see her a bit more bold!! ;)

Wrens nest every year under the eaves of my workroom. Daren't open the windows for fear of the little ones flying in. Always a joy to see that they're back.

Pleased you all like the site...I've spent ages listening to the bird calls to identify all my garden visitors.

Have you thought of putting out cheese for your little troglodytes flowerlady?

CotswoldLass, thanks ever so for that link. It is a really good site. Despite having no robins, we do have wrens in the garden which I love. Hadn't seen them for ages then spotted one a couple of weeks ago foraging in some pots (right in front of the window where the cat was asleep!). One autumn I had the sprinkler on & spent ages watching 2 wrens flying through the water - they were loving it.

I have been busy trying hard to establish some suitable nesting habitats.  Log piles and the like. 

Also I read that the woven nests one can buy might also be suitable if I could get them into a good spot.  Any suggestions?

Or make! Tim, are you reading this?When I visited Tim and Pat I took them one of these - made by myself and I think I was still wearing the plasters to prove it. I'd enrolled at a pottery class. The potter was ill (gone potty?) & so we were offered a term of 'handicrafts'......."handy pochettes for our feathered friends" I think she called them. I was inordinately proud of these poor mis-shapen things. Don't think any birds wanted to slum it in mine, tho. ;D
