Something's eating my sage

I brought my sage plant into the conservatory a few weeks ago so that I could keep picking fresh sage leaves and to keep the plant growing through the winter. I've noticed something other than me having a munch at the leaves and today on looking closer I noticed some of the leaves are curled and bound together with a web/silk like material. I pulled the leaves apart and inside is a little green worm/caterpillar. Any ideas what it is? There's a few of them on the plant, I don't want to squish them if they're something friendly or harmless to the plant, there are still plenty of good leaves for me to pick.

Sounds like tortrix moth larvae to me - they pupate in a web within a curled up leaf. Squish 'em quick! :)

Don't know, but I had exactly the same thing on a lot of my plants last year.. I figured it was some sort of moth caterpillar and squished what I could, but gr, they were annoying and definitely not harmless. They decimated some of my plants.. :/

thanks, I must go and have another look at the plant as I left them alone. :)
