At last, after long months of  scouring the charity shop circuit I have found the much sought after Kitchen Devil apple corer for  50p! The perfect solution to all those dandilions and docs which got too big to hoe before being discovered.

Next on my list, a 50p grapefruit knife for harvesting asparagus.

Anybody else got any good alternative gardening applications for kitchen bric a brac?

An old bread-knife is just the job for trimming around paving slabs set into the lawn.    :)

A Toasting fork works wonders when collecting slugs around the garden when you're having an earlyish search for the "little" dears!! you get plenty on before launching them into field next door for the Magpies to eat? they eat everything else!!! If anybody ever catches me on camera they'll be on a winner with Beadle!!
If I wasn't Gardening I'd be shopping!! thank God for Gardening!!

URGHHHHHHH  :P!!!! Hope you don't use the toasting fork for its original purpose once you've launched them over the hedge!

And your Avatar: "If I wasn't Gardening I'd be shopping!! thank God for Gardening!!" ... so who invented Garden Centres then !!!!!  ;D

Not a charity shop find as such, but the drums from washing machines make FAB containers for pumpkins etc.
