I am looking for a supplier of wire frames for making glass cloches.
Any help appreciated as I am struggling to find a supplier anywhere.  I can make my own but I would like to see if it is worth buying them first.

You might do well to point this query in the direction of Sanders. I'm sure he made something on that line last year.

I have tried a bit of googling but not come up with anything. I know the type of thing you want and my Dsd has some but they are years old.

Ken, I make fleece cloches each year but it must have been some one else who what you are thinking off I think.

I did make a large cold frame though if that is any help!

Yes, now I remember. But unless you have stacks of glass, Growbe, why not use poly tunnelling, much lighter, easier to put up and take down and certainly lots safer??

It might be worth giving these people a call:

They certainly sell glass cloches complete, and I know that as well as their retail business they also have a horticultural wholesale catalogue.  I've been to their warehouse in Colne, and if you ask nicely, you can buy stuff over the trade counter.  I guess that they'd do the frames without the glass, especially if you were buying reasonably large quantities.

By heck. Somebody's close. Cottontree....Good pub down there.

Yes I have a load of glass.

I normally use plastic cloches but it seems a waste not to use the glass option.
I will make my own frames I guess with heavy duty wire and old hosepipe.

Okay I found a supplier.

Homebase of all people stock rubber clips for making glass cloches.
£1.29 for 6 :)
