some really good stuff here-love the idea of compost bags-one could grow cucumbers the same way as well.

I am now leaving all questions about toms for a while though-they haunt even my waking hours-have just ordered some more `unusual` ones-I reckon I will have over 70 varieties for sale next year and folk still want `Moneymaker`-bless them-I make a bob or two on those :-X

- a quick trackback to sideshoots - do it only if you are really pushed for cash? - the potted up shoots will obviously come in a lot later, and can we afford to be later with the harvest?? - Tim

I've not done it myself (well the first time I grew toms was this year) but I suppose if you're pulling the sideshoots off anyway then there's nothing to lose - anything you get off them must be a bonus right ?
