The first things.

Eric that is so wonderful to see, even though there are no signs up here in the North East yet.  I can't wait, and keep examining our front garden where our snow drops are planted.  :) busy_lizzie

Busy, I noticed two doors along from me a snowdrop fully opened and some daffs about to open.  I suspect,being the suspicious person wot I am, they've been bought and plonked in.  ;)

Eric, your photos have really cheered me up, I can't wait for spring to come now, had enough of winter!  Thank you.

Eric, nice pictures ,yes spring is getting a little nearer, my bulbs have all shown there heads ;D ;D.

I've got snowdrops sprouting, but I won't really believe in spring till I see the bees bringing in pollen. Then I'll know things are moving.

We had some snowdrops in the sunniest spot of the garden just after the Boxing day snows cleared.   However, we are back below freezing after a +3 blip yesterday.  Spring won't get under way here till March and last year March started with heavy snows and the occasional -20 overnight.   Everything went whoosh in April and soon caught up.

Just to put things in perspective a little, this is the scene in the rest of the wood.

Wow, it must be wonderful to have the space for a wood in your garden, I wish...

Oh lambs are so cute (mmmm mint sauce!!!) and the flowers are a delight. Our spring flowers are a bit behind yours though Eric!

I was hefting my hives this afternoon (ancient beekeeper tradition; you lift them a fraction, and the weight shows you whether or not they have enough food. Mine do) and noticed the tops are coverered with splots of yellow bee poo. Obviously at some point over the last week it warmed up enough for them to come out for what's euphemistically known as 'a good cleansing flight'. It's a good sign.
