Hi Lorna.  As risk of a terrible pun, I think you reap what you sow on these boards.  I for one have enjoyed many of your posts.  Your own kindness shines through and this current post simply confirms that.  We've already swapped stuff so I'll leave others to bag things from your impressive list.  I look forward to lots of pics of your veggie plot next year.   :)

Georgie. Thanks for your kind words. Now my plot is only going to be very small, have more or less prepared it. Next to follow will be loads of requests for what should I grow from that list???? Can I grow some in the greenhouse? When do I sow? I am not much for cooking so I only need to grow things for what I call plain cooking. LOL. I did think it would be interesting to try some squashes, have always been intrigued by pics put on here. I will probably never use them but what the heck.. will give me something to do..I  posted to you today. Best wishes Lorna.

Oh Lorna, you'll get loads of good advice from real gardeners in here.  I just bung things in pots and hope for the best - seems the slugs/snails benefit most!

Wow Lorna,

What a list!  Would any of the tomatoes flourish outside?   Have nothing by fresh air to offer my little plants!! ;)

I will PM you

Hi Lorna,
Having been with the wife up to the barren icy landscape that is our new allotment we were planning our beds for the coming season. We thought growing sweetcorn would be fun especially for our kids to do. If you have any left it they would be most welcome. As we are new to this game I have nothing to offer you in return as yet although our garlic is looking good and could send you some in the summer.

lorna

deboydoyd. Yep have still got a few . PM me your address and will post to you. Don't worry about any returns. Regards Lorna

Hi iain..Have got some of each cabbage you want but no radish (sorry) Send me your address by PM. and I will pop in post to you. Won't be tomorrow as I have company all day (after going out for a nice lunch and one or two brandies I won't be thinking of seeds LOL.) Will get them in post Friday so you should get them for week end. No need for swaps as due to the generosity of members I now have all the seeds I have room for. Best wishes Lorna.

Lorna, good luck with your new adventure into growing veggies.  I am sure you will reap your rewards for all the hard work you put in when you pick or dig up your first vegetables.  Good luck.
