does anyone have any tips on drying gourds, I have just bought some beautiful ones for displaying, but id like them to last as long as possible and not lose their colour ???

Wow, lot of effort!  I just leave mine on the vine until the last minute, cut them, display them, and forget about them!  Last year  they started to go soggy after Christmas, but I still have a vegetable spaghetti and a small crown prince left from last year!!!!!

Mine lasted several months.  Would suggest you give them at least a wip over.  I have my ornamental gourds by the fire and on the window sill.
