Allotments 4 All

Hi all...

I'm on the scrounge in case anyone in the West London area (or someone who would post them!) has any leftover onion sets?

Mine were stolen from my plot this week before I had a chance to put them in  >:(

I don't have a whole lot to swap being a new lottie-er but let me know what you would like and I'll see what I can do? :)  I'd also be happy to pay postage!

I've over ordered again(remember the spuds?), and have some japanese ones and radar ones coming to Tolworth in late September/early October, if you can wait that long.

I don't leave anything worthwhile at my allotment nowadays, which means I have to take the car there every time I go, but we have tea leaves too...

Trenchboy, thanks again for those spuds, they are coming up beautifully.  Unlike the Juliette which Fothergills sent me, which are doing NOTHING!!!

thanks for the heads up about kings-is it the time to plant the overwintering ones now?

I popped to Syon Park Garden centre today to have a look and they had onion sets there £1.29 & £1.49. That garden centre has everything you would want. I'm wanting potatoes but i'm a bit early i've been told & they don't do they Christmas ones.

Oh, that's interesting, thanks! I ususally end up in the Osterley garden centre even though Syon Park is nearer to me.  Needless to say Osterley seems to be all about pot plants and borders ;)

I know where I'll be headed this weekend!

As an aside my Juliette spuds are doing beautifully, and I have a few red onion sets should you want some?

Thanks for the offer, but I think I'm okay :)  I have some very healthy maris peer and I found my "stolen" onion sets (see another thread) so I'm good.
