Emma I'm really proud of you, ;) that is quite an achievement, bananas and all. :P Out of interest, which way does your conservatory face? reason for asking is that I recently gave my daughter a Musa basjoo Nana plant for her new conservatory and it is going very well and she too applies the same scientific applications and can be quite forgetfull to the point of laziness, her conservatory faces west. :) 

Be interesting to hear what the banana's taste like but be careful as I have heard you can break your teeth on the seeds of some. :P
