I don't want to offend anyone, but I am often puzzled when people post messages in entirely the wrong places.
As an example "winter seeds"  in the category for the Allotment Movement.  Sorry Weedbusta, if you have got a bit confused, and though your post is very welcome, I just can't see the connection with winter seeds and the allotment movement.  We are all friendly people and original topics can deviate, it is only natural, just like conversations, but I think it does make sense to have some sort of structure to mainly follow.

I have heard it said that a4a, is too complicated and could be hard to follow, but I have never found that.  It seems very straight forward to me with each category giving a guidance as to what would fit in where.  It has developed over time when we have all felt the need for a new section, and I think it works well.   It just seems that lately we have had subjects all over the place. I wouldn't like to think this post would deter anyone from posting anything, but I wondered what others thought.  peace and love,  :) busy_lizzie

Does seem odd, does it not? It happens on other sites too, but many of them move the posting to the correct section. This site is so big now that it would be a full time job keeping a watch on everything. Sadly putting things in the wrong sections can lead to people not getting an answer to a query and feeling that they have been ignored. No idea what the answer is though.
Gardening is the great leveller.

Is there a way of moving a post in A4A then (other than bothering Dan)?  Meant to put my post about 'Unidentified crawling object' (hadn't even meant to call it that but pressed the send button prematurely) in Wildlife but somehow posted it in Pests instead.  I'll try to be more careful in future, honest ;) :)

Hiya Jill  :D

I am not sure you can "move" a message from one category to another but you can certainly "modify" the contents of your message,  Maybe someone else will be able to enlighten us  ???
Enjoy today to the full.  You are not sure of a tomorrow.

There is a delete button to take away a post that you've made by mistake or want to move (just remember to copy it first hehe) The delete button is on every post that you make.
