all my rocket and salad herb leaves have gone to seed >:(, and all the leaves (even the newly planted rocket ) are covered in small holes and white spots! :(
Can anyone tell me what i may have done wrong this year ??? I grew them from seed and have them in large containers just like last year

They do run to see very quickly in the hot weather.  Just sow some more  :)  The holes will be flea bettle who are partial to rocket and lettuce.  You could cover them with fleece to keep the blighters off  :)

As Wardy says, rocket does go to seed very quickly. If you can find a shady spot it helps and it is quite shade tolerant.
This year, and I hardly dare write this for fear of tempting fate, my rocket sowing is fine and not bolted unlike most other things around it! It's from Seeds of Italy, not used theirs before, I think it might be a better variety than others I've tried.

Many thanks for the advice. I will definitely put them in a shadier position next time. How can i prevent futher attacks by the nasty flea beetles though  ??? Would really appreciate any ideas  :)

fleece or close weave netting.  Don't try and fix fleece in a force 10  ;D
