I'm trying broccoli this year, I haven't grown cabbage things for a long time because of club root but this is supposed to be a club root resistant type.
I sowed them at home, repotted most into big pots and some in smaller pots. When I planted them out in the lottie, the plants were all about the same size and now look at the difference. The plants in the bigger pots (the ones on the left) must have made a much bigger root system. I also planted some outside the mesh tunnel (on the bottom of the picture) to see if cabage flies are a problem here and those are the smallest plants of all.

They do look strong....I planted white & purple sprouting under nets to protect from pigeons and they have really moved on,.......not as much as yours though Ina!

Mrs Ava

They look good enough to eat already Ina!  Fabulous.
I am going to try and grow some calabrasse in big pots in the greenhouse to harvest for Chrimble this year.

Pegs instead of hand-wrecking bricks, Ina??

The white ones - not the black.

Tim, where do you buy those pegs from? I've noticed that you advocate the use of them in other threads and they would certainly solve a problem for me.

Those pegs look great for the bird nets but not for invironmesh surely Tim?

Btw. every other stone has the string tied to it that holds the mesh down.
