Kitty,
yes I very big and hugely strong, any tiller that wrestles with me comes off second best.

Tim,
I like the sound of the electric Mantis but I can't find the damned socket anywhere on my allotment. ???

MT - the most useful factor to come out of that is fast=fluffing & slow=digging.

Confusing - the number of variations & varieties?

The 7222 looks like the standard 2 stroke Mantis sold at £299 with 2 yr guarantee? Elsewhere, it seems to be £359??

Share your reason for sale??

OH has a Mantis with all sorts of heads you can fit for different jobs - digging, tilling, trenching, scarifying etc.  The only problem is that you have to get the fuel mix exactly right.  OH wasn't always careful and eventually knackered the motor and a new one had to be fitted.  Apart from that, it's a good tool - light and easy to cart around and use so not too many complaints when I ask him to dig another new bed or titivate an old one for replanting.
