Sowed my witloof chicory last night (for forcing in the winter).
What is going to attack it?
(sounding pessimistic here - but you know how it is...)

Must must must find room somewhere on my plot to get mine sowed!  Last year nothing attacked mine at all, in fact, the poor plants were completely neglected and forgotten about as I grew them close to my parsnips, and they also thrived on the neglect!
