I have put all my toms outside the house on a sheltered place. All 32 variaties on top of the rabbitcages,so they are 4 feet from groundlevel. Now we had last night frost on groundlevel, today the toms are all fine, who says toms are fragil, not mine they must be so hard as a rock. You can say they are hardened of quiet well.

Ruud,

You appear to be living on the edge - perhaps you have invented a new pasttime - extreme gardening!!  :D

Svea

phil,
i think extreme gardening is already practiced by a few A4A members - it requires the use of an ironing board, remember?

Ruud - you're brave! I might try one or two, but not the whole lot!

Phil - LOL!

Svea - I use my ironing board. It's pretty extreme gardening, I think I'm in danger or being murdered by Mr Aqui if I put anymore plants in the house! (actually, he's very understanding, thankfully!)
gone to pot :D

NattyEm

very brave.  I started hardening off my courgette plants yesterday, currently doing the in-out hokey kokey with them until it warms up enough to leave them in the growhouse.

Svea

good to hear! ;D

here is another extreme sport that requires an ironing board ;)

Wowzers Ruud.  I shall keep mine in the greenhouse (now unheated but still lagged) for another couple of weeks before them, the sweetcorn and squashes all go out.  Major planting weekend that one!  Mind you, that said, it isn't like I am short of plants so maybe I will risk a couple.
