Yesterday, I spotted a couple of large caterpillars on me kale - time to be scrupulous if you aren't already?

what are those lime green maggotty things ?  Are they catpillas or maggots and should they be 'removed'.

On the ground or on the plants?  On the plants then I reakons they be caterpillars of one of the white butterflies.  I was still picking them off my kale on Christmas Eve!

BAGGY

maggotty things were on the ground.  Bald and curled up like a quaver.  Slightly darker stripe down it's back I seem to remember.  S'pose it may have fallen off the plant ?  Did not want to squish in case it was a goodie.

SEDUM

I'm loath to kill something if it isn't doing any harm (except maybe slugs and snails - though I'll just generally chuck them out of the way).  I found a caterpillar in my compost heap today and two chrysallis (chrysalli?) in a tray in the greenhouse when I gave it a springclean.  No idea what they are going to evolve into.  Maybe this site can help -
