...by a sparrowhawk chasing a starling. I was weeding, jumped up when something screamed beside me, and they went past my ear about two feet away!

Amazing what you see of life's little dramas simply by being in the right place at the right time. Now if it could just chase the pigeons off...

I had a lovely little male dive a foot above my head once, then perch up a few yards away. They can certainly make you jump!

my grandad stumbled upon one the other day been visiting his feeder and the other day it caught a dove he watched it feed from about 10 ft away
