Hello everyone! Please can you help. We are starting an allotment site in Alwwodley Leeds and have been given some land. We do, however, need to raise some funds for car parking. Our treasurer has signed us up for an online poll through Engage Mutual and if we get sufficient votes we will get a grant. Voting closes at the end of May. If anyone would be so kind as to register and then vote we would be so grateful. You will not get any spam emails as a result of this. We are listed in the families section. Many thanks in advance and thanks for reading!

Have you tried the lottery charity for a grant?

cabbage.patch3

Yes, treasurer is really good, exploring all options but we can't get on site till we have car parking!

Do you really need car parking?  We have no on site parking and have to walk down a lane.  We manage ok.

Nice to hear of a new site.

Wonderful, thanks! And yes it's off a narrow lane so we have to have off road parking....council planning...taken 3years to get this far!

Good luck. We wanted a toilet on our allotment site we approach the council as they are the owners. They offered us a composting toilet but we had to raise half the funds, so we decided to fund raise .It took us 18 months we also approached some charity organisation and one charity gave us £4000 . I also know a site that approached the lottery and they got £10,000 (ten thousand) If you tell them it is for the benefit of the allotment community they will help. Please do try.
We also have a yearly in August an open day .Stalls selling our own produce, cakes&tea hut, bric a brac, stocks, old tool stall, novelty cake stall raffles,BBQ. We normally raise over £1000 a year. You would not believe how generous people are when it comes to fund raising.

Good luck
