Pulsatilla grandis, also known as Pasque Flower because it is supposed to flower at Easter. This is a form found in Austria. The native British type is a  lot more purple than this. There is a bluer form called 'Budapest' but it is not that easy to get hold of.

Lovely photo Eric.  The Pasque Flower is the county flower of Hertfordshire (where I live).  I downloaded this photo from a website that lists county flowers (introduced from an A4A'er if I remember).  It is framed and now graces my bedroom wall :)

They are beeeeeeeeeeutiful aren't they.  So soft and delicate looking.

Eric, my seed grown ones from last year...how long before I can expect a flower...or should they be in flower now!!!???
