I have a lot of wasps at the base of one of my sunflowers. Also further up the stem. I've read conflicting theories about this so not sure what, if anything, to do about it. Also confused about wasps as, after years of swatting them, I now understand they are good for the garden so I,ve built a bug house to encourage them.

Hi there, wasps are good in the garden, they eat aphids and other bugs. Its also amazing to watch them gnawing at untreated sheds and fences gathering wood pulp for thier nests. But from now until they die off they are a nuisance.....they chase, annoy and sting , coz they can, for no apparant reason.

So I love them at the start and middle of the season....but at the end, well its me or them..... :glasses9:
I was born with nothing and have most of it left.

Interesting Hectare, I'll go back to swatting them until next year. It's not only untreated sheds; we have to treat our shed every year because of them!
