Thank you everyone for your good wishes. 

We have just got back from Southampton having stayed with our eldest son and his partner.  They took us out to a Greek restaurant last night and we all had a meze.  The food was delicious and there was so much of it.  It was one of the best birthday treats I have ever had.

Today we did some clothes shopping, making the most of being in a big city several times bigger than Salisbury and having a lot more choice.  We then went on to Haskins Garden centre and although tempted by some of their plants, I found their prices a little on the high side so came out with nothing. 

We were able to look at the wooden arches in Haskins that we intended to buy elsewhere on line at a much lesser price.  However, when we saw them, they were much bigger than we thought so we are now undecided what to put in our garden. 

Well, the excitement is over for another year and the family are already talking about my "big" birthday next year and making plans.
