My Samsung galaxy phone was fully charged when I went to
bed last night but this morning there was only 75% battery
remaining.  Is it normal for the battery to discharge when the
phone isn't being used?

All phones are doing something even when not being used - they check in to the network and depending on what you have setup they could be pulling data for email, updates, facebook etc all of which use power.  Also as batteries age they will lose charge quicker but 25% overnight is a lot..

When I get old I don't want people thinking
"What a sweet little old lady"........
                             I want em saying
"Oh Crap! Whats she up to now ?"

Our Samsung did that too, I took quite a few apps off and that cured it. Worth a try?

Thanks for the replies.
I got rid of a few apps and it seems to be a bit better now.
