Three out of my 6 cucumber plants (Zeina) have survived without getting neck rot and all have teeny-weeny fruit now- very exciting! However, the packet says to "train them along wire and allow the main shoot to reach the tip", which doesn't give any idea of height. I've just got a cane supporting each one- will they be ok? Also, should I limit each plant to a certain number of fruit, and what should I feed them with?

they will grow and grow if you let them and take over the greenhouse (ask me how i know) i grow mine up then along wire supports and stop them when they get to the end of the support, stopping them at the top of the cane is no different you will just get less cues than i get(which is always far too many even with giving them away).
Feed with tom food that all i use at the same concentration as for toms but i only water from the bottom into a sunken pot next to the plant and this helps keeping mildew at bay.
Make sure also if they are not all female variety that you remove the male flowers to stop the cues getting bitter.
you may be a king or a little street sweeper but sooner or later you dance with de reaper.
