I have been very ill for over three weeks now and spent the last 6 days in hospital where I had almost 2 litres of fluid drained from my heart.  Everything is now under control, though I came out of hospital with an upper tract respiritory infection which I caught there. Hopefully it shouldn't last too long and I will soon be back to normal.

I noticed from posts that A4A has been down so it looks as though I haven't missed much.

Gosh!...didn't know you were poorly. I'm glad to hear that you are getting better.
I suspect we all are getting busy in outdoors/in GH and spending less time on front of puter. That's my excuse anyway :sunny:

Thank you all for your good wishes.

I have an appointment later today to see my GP for the x ray results of my knee and hips.  My knee started being very painful about two weeks before my heart problems. My total knee replacement was only done in September 2007.  It doesn't rain but it pours!  Good job I have you folks to console me and cheer me up.   :icon_sunny:

Take it easy, pauline. Get better very soon  :toothy10:

I saw my GP today and she has confirmed that the xrays show no abnormalities in my knee and hips.   :icon_cheers:

This was a relief as I wasn't looking forward to more replacement surgery.  She doesn't know what is causing the pain but has upped my painkillers meanwhile.  She says we should wait until the problems with my heart and breathing have been resolved.  If the knee is still painful when all that has been sorted, she will then refer me back to the Orthopaedic consultant for his observations.

How are you feeling today Pauline?
