Bird camera

A bird box with a camera arrived on Tuesday and we put it up in place of an old one that had been used every year and which needed to be cleaned.  Within an hour, a blue tit started having a look inside but didn't stay.  Last night though at 5.15 pm it came into the box and settled there for the night.  It awoke at 7.15 this morning and flew out.  It was lovely looking at it last night.  It had managed to fluff up all its feathers onto a ball and then tuck his head under them. 

I am really looking forward to nesting time and will be putting some soft padding and the last of Meggie's dog fur into a fat ball holder this afternoon so they have some luxury for their new nest.  I had always saved Meggie's fur for them after grooming her but now that she has passed on, I may have to get future supplies from a grooming parlour.  The old box that we took down was lined with her fur and looked really cosy.

Does anyone else put fur or other materials out for the birds?
