Does anyone on A4A buy these shoes? I am after a couple of pairs of well made shoes with good arch support. Would just like an opinion before investing?

I have worn only this make of shoes for years.  I think if they suit your feet they are wonderful.    My sister does not like them.   I have 6 pairs in different styles, all flat with laces or Velcro straps. So can't comment on the fashionable ones.  I bought them several years ago in the sales.   The current price shocks me.  I will need to replace my softies soon.
I bought  a pair on eBay once which fell apart.   The store said they were fake!!!!

Hi Duke Ellington, I bought a pair a couple of years ago in the sale, they were such a good bargain I thought, but the wrong size when I tried to walk in them, so they are as new.  They are a size 40 and you are more than welcome to them if they are your size.  They are a black laceup.  Just pm me if you would like them.

If Duke does not want them I would be very glad to have them.   If they are your size Duke go for them.
Could I offer you something in return if you offer them to me?

Belladay

Of course you can have them if Duke doesn't want them.  I wouldn't want anything in return, but thank you for the offer, maybe something towards the postage, I have no idea how much that will be.

Best foot forward for the New Year.

What a lovely lot you are.

Hi All

Thanks for all your replies. I would have loved to take advantage of your kind offer Belladay but unfortunately my size is 38 :BangHead: Thanks though.  I realise just how expensive they are and I suppose I really need to try some on. I have always been to wear cheap shoes but I need better now.

Been an Ecco fan for 6 years, part of Diabetes is foot issues and it was recommended that good quality shoes would be a help.
So Jude and I wondered off to Ecco in Kingston Upon Thames and after getting over the price shock,we both have purchased shoes and boots
and have to say how pleased we both have been with them.

Love Ecco boots, was lucky enough to find an outlet shop in Holland last year that had loads in my size, so I'll just say I stocked up a bit.... :happy7:
If it's not pouring with rain, I'm either in the garden or at the lottie! Probably still there in the rain as well TBH....🥴

I bought some for OH & he says they were the best shoes he's ever worn. TK Maxx sometimes has them & TJ Hughes did. Some of their shops are still open.

Hi All just popped on to the site and read about Ecco shoes, and then I remembered I had a e-mail from Ward Walkers to-day reduced Ecco footwear hope it helps, as they are expensive,my pal gets them and wear them for year's .

I used to buy Ecco shoes but I haven't been able to buy shoes off the peg for several years now as my feet are deformed with arthritis and are very flat and wide.   Consequently for the past nine years I have had shoes and boots made to measure at the hospital.  Unfortunately, they look very ungainly and are often very uncomfortable.

Just before Christmas, I went into a shoe shop in Amesbury who are a stockist for DB shoes specialising in wide fitting shoes.   I tried on a width fitting 6E and they fitted me perfectly but I didn't like the style so they gave me a catalogue and said they could order them for me at a charge of £10.  I looked them up on the web and found that the shoes were cheaper than in the shop and that I could also get them VAT free online as my feet are deformed.  I sent off for a pair with trepidation, knowing what difficulty I have had in the past.  Surprisingly, they fitted and are really comfortable and much better to look at than my hospital shoes.  I have since sent off and received an even wider pair (8E) and have put my hospital insole supports in them.

I really recommend the shoes especially for people who have wide feet.

Hotter is another good make of shoes and boots and they do extra wide fittings. They are expensive but we have a discount shop near us at Freeport, Braintree and they do all their range at 50% reduction. If you can find a discount shop they are well worth a try. I don't wear anything else now, comfort being the essential factor.
