when to buy kafir lilies

after seeing pats lovely kafir lilie in her pond got me thinking i would like some in my pond , i have look around my garden center for tubers i think they are grown from can not seem to find any . am i looking the right time of year and do they grow from tubers or bulbs i would really like some could any body tell me if i am looking the right time of year for them thanks
