We got ours from Travis Perkins & other places that give them away.

Yes. Builders yards have them.  Perhaps ring first and go at a quiet time.  I did this and they even sawed 2 in half for me.

Trading and industrial estates are always a good source, though do ask because some have a deposit, and never take the blue Chep ones because the company aggressively reclaim their property, similarly the red ones (though I forget whos they are).
