Saving broad bean seeds

I've grown broad beans successfully for the first time this year. Can someone tell me how to save the seed? I have quite a few pods that have gone black, do I need to leave them longer before removing from the plant?

They should be ready to harvest, just check that the beans have gone hard and are no longer green.

I always used to cut a length of the  stem with the black pod attached, and lay those out in the greenhouse, until really dry. 
Do put the podded seeds in the freezer for 24 hours, to make sure there are no nasties  in them!

I cut/pull pods that have gone brown or almost there and take them into GH on blue mushroom trays to dry out..once the pods and crispy dry, I shell them and dry the beans few more weeks indoors. If you can easily make dent on the bean when pressing with nail..it is not dry enough.
