We have created in our allotment this year a permanent wildflower patch, after digging out a pond and have a load of heavy clay soil to dump, we have leveled it out quite well and at the end of may we sowed a lot of wild flowers and a few grasses.

Didn't expect it to flower this year, but think the wet summer has really helped it come on.  Will let the flowers go to seed before strimming and try and get as much seed back on the ground for next year.  Should hopefully come back in the spring

It has a lot of bees on it at the moment and is a good use of pretty rubbish ground

beautiful, we'e done something similar this year,  covered with bees and hoverflies, they've done a good job pollinating the beans  ;D
