hi guys

win / win situation earlier. my husband and i were out having a bbq and our neighbour was out about to start cutting the grass, so he asked her for the grass clippings. after an odd look from her and after he explained why he wanted them she moved her lawn and every so often gave him the bucket which he put on the potatoes. so she gave us free stuff to earth them up while we sat on our backsides watching and had a bbq :D:D win win really, saved her going to the bin with it and he did give her a bottle of mead for it so we weren't too mean! free = good no effort = good :D:D

One of our neighbours drops her grass cutting off for our lotty too. We'll give her some potatoes.

I am a bit wary of neat grass clippings.  Either they are full of weeds or they are full of weedkiller.  I like them full of weeds but put them in the dalek to heat up before spreading them round.

Neither in mine Digeroo. She won't use weed killer ;D.

The small ex-jungle over the back fence doesn't look like it's ever seen weedkiller and if I'm right in thinking the weeds won't have a hope against potatoes. There's a few weeds coming up in between the rows and I keep looking at them thinking "Mwhahahaha! Your days are numbered with or without the hoe"
