my first tenents

We put our first bird box up last November, and a pair of blue tits are going in and out,I do hope they stay ,we have our second box to go up hope we get more tenents  :D

This morning we had a pair of blue tits munching on the nut feeder,a pair of long tailed tits hovering above them in the branches chomping on new buds and a pair of wrens searching through the ivy looking for brekky,spring, dont ya just luv it  !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That all sounds great I have a pair of blackbirds nesting, also bluetits in the trees maybe they to will nest. I put food out for them all. but the big bombers the woodies hover it up, and the other little birds have the scraps .I also put out bird mix for the smaller birds to give them a chance.

I was in the garden this morning and found a doves egg it was still whole,I couldn't see a nest ,a bit of a mystery,love my birdies ;D

Something took the egg, then dropped it. It happens.

Robert  you must be right ,we have a pair of magpies they rob the tables of food ,i put the egg on the bird table Wondered if anything would take it ,it was gone this morning rats or magpies! I mustn't say anything against the Magpies my  OH is a Geordie ;D

They both rob nests any chance they get.

This morning I had a pheasant, two rabbits, a blackbird and a robin all together on the ground under the bird feeders.
