Arrived on the site at about 8:45 this morning.

Fed two of the cats.

Watched someone demolish an old shed and then made him a cup of coffee.

Went to my plot and fed another three cats.

Found a phone number for a plot holder of a man who does rotovating.

Spoke to another plot holder about a tree.

Let a plot to a newcomer, did all the paperwork,  showed her where various things were on the site and advised about where to start.

Dealt with a complaint that someone had taken a fork off another plot.

Arranged for a manure delivery for a plot holder.

Filled in tenancy agreement for plot holder and got him to sign.

Spoke to two separate plot holders about rent.

Got some potatoes from the stores for a plot holder.

Received a delivery of cat food from our lovely Cats Protection lady.

Arranged for some slabs to be laid for the new greenhouse.

What did I do on my plot?  Apart from feeding the cats - absolutely nothing!

;D Oh well, As the French say "There are days with and days without"
Next time try and go when no one else is there!!!
2012 - Snow in February, non-stop rain till July. Blight and rot are rife. Thieving voles cause strife. But first runner beans and lots of greens. Follow an English allotment in urban France: http://roos-and-camembert.blogspot.com

Sorry to hear that CB, its disheartening. I admire you turning a compost heap it is something I never do :-[

Betty, that sounds just like our visits to the plot. The car park is in one corner of the site and our plot is diagonally opposite at the furthest end! I guarantee that there's always something to check up, or someone wants to see us - or we need to see them - so by the time we get to the plot we've already been on site for up to an hour!

(I don't turn compost bins either - no time!!)
