Any plumbers out there?

When we run the bath, there is a very loud whistling noise from the pipes (hard to tell exactly where it's coming from) which continues few minutes a after the taps are turned off. This doesn't happen when we use the mixer shower on the bath or any other taps in the house.

I've googled and found a few possible causes (valves or washers mainly) but wondered if anyone here has experience of this or suggestions for fixing it?

hi caroline
could be an air lock in the pipes...turn off at main tap and let all the wate drain out, then refill the pipes with the tap open till the water comes through.....hope this solves your prob.....regards Jim.
