I've found T & M packets with zilch in before!
Just had a letter from T&M to say the viola plants I have ordered haven't grown so well so they will not be dispatching them till August 2012!!

good luck Claybasket with your problem :)

Last year Jeannine ordered lots of seeds from T & M (and others) and had them all sent to me (for my sister to take back to Canada after her visit to me). Four packets of tomato seeds - which should have had 5 seeds in - had three or less, so I called T & M. They sent me 4 extra packets with no quibble, though I did, of course, have an invoice number. All the replacement packets had the stated 5 seeds!

Petunia seeds are tiny and I mean you need your reading glasses on and even then it's hard to see them.  And hold your breath or they are off in the wind.

Johnsons put them in a tiny test tube and even then, you might think there is nothing in there.

So: are you sure the pack was empty?

(sorry if this offends)

I had two packets of T&M sweetcorn seeds last year that I purchased from Wyvales that contained half the number of seeds the packet minimum was supposed to be. I complained via email to T&M who asked me to return them to Wyvales for replacement which they did without a quibble. However, the store was not happy with T&M as several customers had complained about being 'short changed', and I was far from alone in complaining.

As a result, I now get the majority of my seeds from 'Seeds of Italy' (Franchi) who always have very generous numbers of seed in their packets.
If it's not pouring with rain, I'm either in the garden or at the lottie! Probably still there in the rain as well TBH....🥴

I had to take a pkt of seeds back to Brigg garden centre a couple of years ago. I hadn't opened it you could feel it was empty. They swapped for another immediately. The packaging machines often make errors but in law you have to return faulty goods via the retailer so Tom was right.... ;)
Ain't it annoying when you live in the country and the garden centres are all a 20+ mile drive...... ::)

If the goods are faulty you do not in law require a receipt.

I got an expensive packet of Florian Strawberries
which was short and got a replacement.

I also took a packet of brocolli back that contained only half the stated number.

Wyevale have seeds half price at the moment.
