I just love ladybirds and thats a lovely picture Ollie
When I get old I don't want people thinking
"What a sweet little old lady"........
                             I want em saying
"Oh Crap! Whats she up to now ?"

Very interesting picture and information;  we had a school group at our allotments last week looking for 'where creatures go in the winter' and found several ladybirds on teasels.
Continuing our search for winter homes, we'd expected to find frogs under corrugated iron sheets and under old plastic compost bags which we leave as winter homes at the edge of our wildlife area - but none there this year - in previous years they've always been there, usually a dozen or so frogs - of all sizes - clustered together.
