CHEER UP

 I am so fed up, i am having trouble with my hospital appt that should have been sent off when i was admitted to hospital in Dec,i need a Thalium Scan on my heart, my cardiologist was on holiday so i saw his colleage, it seems things were said but somehow never confirmed so now my wait has increased to 4/6months.
Its the waiting the "what if" that is getting to me now. :(
I need cheering up, feeling fragile today. We cant make any real arrangements for a holiday etc etc:,just in case an appt should arrive and i cannot possibly go away without insurance. Oh i`ll shut up now. Cheers Rosebud.

So many of our friends have been subjected to this waiting game - very demoralising.

I know I've said it before, but daughter & OH next door are cardiac specialists & would be very happy to answer the awkward question.

Waiting list seem so unfair. I have just been for some treatment, waited 6 weeks which is not bad, chap next to me had been waiting 36 weeks. The difference? ,purely and simply where he was referred from and where I was.
Keep your pecker up!

thinking of you Mary, and sending sympathies too. OH and I have just been on a rough road with nhs 'treatment', at the start of it after waiting weeks to hear about appointments we checked and discovered the gp had forgotten to write the referral letter.
so please rant away!

Mary, it does help to let off steam so feel free to go ahead.  I had the opposite experience recently - x-ray,scan,ultra-sound,breathing all tested during January!  Don't know why they were so thorough or so quick but glad they did.  Problem now under control (fingers crossed again) so I really hope you don't wait much longer - but do complain - it can only help.

As soon as i feel i can get my fighting hat on i shall be on the case of this apt.
My daughter has been here to cheer me up every day so i do feel a little more cheerful, but when i read about Jemmas niece it puts things in prospective dosent it .
But i shall still fight my corner.  You really are a lovely bunch of people my love to you all.  :) ;) :D

now you take it easy lovely, dont go raging at them, cus it may not do you any good.. and try and relax, ring them yes, compalian firmly, but dont expect anything, that way you wont be disappointed, I know its frustrating but think if go getting yerself pumped up.. then these sort of things can make you unwell... try and not think of how long the wait is.. just how ur gonna keep yerself fit and well in the meantime... I know its worrying.. but it will work out..
