music from pc to iphone?

How do you do it? Am already aware that itunes are the spawn of the devil, but does anyone know an idiots guide to getting tunes from my windows xp pc on to my iphone?

you can only do it through itunes.
plug in your phone and it will prompt you to download i tunes when that has installed you can sync your phone to it and put every thing from itunes onto your phone.

Not necessarily, it's an Apple phone you're talking about  ;)

You should be able to transfer your own music into iTunes and sync from there.  However, iTunes won't accept all formats so some might fail.  The other alternative is to download a plug-in for Windows Media Player.

This video gives instructions for one of them - the kid doing it sounds about 10 years old!  There's a licence fee for it but I think you can get a free 30 day trial.  There are others - just Google synch iPhone with Windows Media Player.

Disclaimer I haven't used the plug-in.

the only way i have found is to use the itunes as other methods ive tried have all failed

I have helped somebody with their i-pod nano, found you have to use i-tunes, but once it was installed it was easy to transfer his CDs.
