I'm resisting the chained up approach... but have to wear my glasses all of the time so less of an issue now the children aren't young enough to move them when I'm asleep!
I'm really pleased ti was such a success...  :)

When I get my new reading glasses I really must buy one of those chains/cords
that you put round your neck to hold your glasses. I am using my old ones at the moment and I keep forgetting where I have put the flipping things ;D

When I was working the cord round the neck seemed a good solution to specs knocked on the floor and up the cleaner's hoover!! But... children weren't happy when I forgot to put the specs on my nose leaving the glasses to wham into the backs of their necks as I bent over to read their work.  ::)

These days I have spare pairs of reading glasses all over the place....even in the cabbage patch on the allotment. (Must look for those next time I'm down there).  ;D

But don't you need a pair of glasses to find the glasses in the cabbage patch! :P

I have got to break the habit of 40 years plus. Usual routine, (my glasses are always on my bedside cabinet as I always read before going to sleep) I put my glasses on make a cuppa then turn TV on to watch the news. Yesterday I did the old routine and wondered why the TV picture was blurry!!

Very true.. or to go down the stairs in! Can't see a thing clearly if it's more than arms length away and I have the specs on.

My bad habit, Lorna, is keeping my reading glasses in my shirt pocket and forgetting. I then lean over and out they slide often without me noticing.... hence the cabbage patch pair.  ::)

Good luck with your new found freedom.  ;)
