anyone any ideas on storing apples/pears is it only me but had a glut this year cheers

Pears don't store very well, but the right sort of apples will be alright wrapped in newspaper and stored in a dry cool place. Failing that, try apple and pear chutney.

Only store perfect apples - preferably on an open rack of some kind - make sure none are touching.  Or in trays individually wrapped in paper - but check often - if one rots it will spread!
