Did I hear correctly on the radio that parts of Australia had "mid summer snow" ?

Mrs Ava

I heard that also this morning!

Aparently parts of spain have had very unseasonal cold snaps.

Outlaws just returned from Lanzarotten and they said when it was cold they needed jumpers and gloves!!

Multi, have just been reading some Aussie web sites, and I think that the snow mentioned might have been in Thredbo, which is a ski resort in the winter. Not usually in the middle of summer (now) though!

There have been massive storms throughout southeast Aus, I think they're calling it a cool-climate cyclone! Tasmania where my mum and dad live (and i visited not too long ago) had it too, massive flooding, high winds, roofs being blown off houses, trees being uprooted and blown over.  :-\

Lottie-less until I can afford a house with it's own garden.

I think we went at the right time by the sounds of it....though we were in WA, NSW and Victoria....hope all's Ok in the weather-hit regions....CLX
PS And they DO have snow in Oz...my friends outside Melbourne can see snow on Mount Macedon but not this time of year

I don't know about Australia, but isn't our weather changing a lot. At the grand old age of 26 I still remember weather being HOT in the Summer and COLD in the Winter - quite a scary thought how dramatic the changes are don't you think??
