Our 'tame' allotment cat Felix hasn't seemed his usual self lately.  His appetite is quite poor and he looks as though he has lost weight.  His poos are very soft and he often has a dirty bottom.

I asked our lovely Cats Protection lady if she would have a look at him and she came yesterday morning.  She took him to the vet who gave him long-lasting anti-biotic injection, steroid injection and parasite treatment.

The vet didn't charge a consultation fee because the CP lady told him that our allotments help them by supplying rhubarb etc. for her to make jam for fundraising.

I have met such nice people since I've been looking after the cats. :)

When I get old I don't want people thinking
"What a sweet little old lady"........
                             I want em saying
"Oh Crap! Whats she up to now ?"

Wishing dear Felix a swift recovery. It looks like your vet has got all things covered and you should an improvement very soon.  Its heartwarming to hear of another vet like mine who will go the extra mile to help cat rescue. Hats off to the cats protection lady who explained about how you help them out and got you a reduction in the bill.

We were going to bring him home with us but we knew that we couldn't keep him indoors. He loves the outdoor life.
How is Celine?

Saw Betty today and she said he wasn't much better but the vet said it wouldn't be an instant cure

probably the antibiotic is still to kick in, but that will probably give him a runny belly for a couple of days anyway. Lets hope he feels better soon.
