Not sure if I am teaching my g/mother to suck eggs, but here goes. In Hpphtoto go to  Create link for auction. Takes you to another screen. Choose large and Highlight text. Copy and paste the URL to here between the square brackets.

I always preview before I copy the URL Eric as sometimes when I choose large I get a thumbnail size ???  Why would that be do you think.

Possibly because you've clicked 'large' before the URL is set up? No matter - look at the URL, and make sure it ends in 'lg'.
